Evaluation of School Administrators' and Teachers' Opinions on Coping Methods Applied by School Administrators and Teachers in the Face of Undesirable Student Behaviours
In this study, teachers' and administrators' undesirable student behaviours and the coping methods they use against them were examined. The study group of the research consists of 25 teachers and administrators working in primary and secondary education within the borders of Diyarbakır province in the 2022-2023 academic year. Simple sampling from random sampling methods was used in the study. As a result of the study, the most common undesirable behaviours were seen as disobeying class rules, swearing, speaking without permission in class, shyness, hyperactivity and attention deficit, problems arising from watching violent television programmes (threatening); while the solution suggestions for the undesirable behaviours they encountered were as follows: punishment and reward, warning, ignoring, treating students more sincerely, integrating students with activities, guidance service, assigning tasks, sitting students close to themselves, playing games. According to the results of the research, teachers and administrators recommended that all educational stakeholders should act in cooperation in solving unwanted student behaviours.
