Teacher performance is a process in which the teacher is evaluated by taking into consideration the effort he/she makes, his/her efficiency in his/her work and his/her success. Keeping up with this development and change in science and technology will positively affect the quality of the education provided by teachers. The aim of this study is to examine the postgraduate studies on the performance evaluation process of teachers through document analysis. For the purpose of the study, a total of 40 postgraduate theses conducted between 2001 and 2023 were analysed. Within the scope of this purpose, the main characteristics of the studies examining the performance evaluation of teachers in secondary schools were discussed. Document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Descriptive analysis technique, which is one of the qualitative data analysis techniques, was used as data analysis method. In the examination of postgraduate studies on teachers' performance evaluation, the "Publication Review Form" developed by the researchers by making use of the relevant literature was used. The publication review form was analysed according to the years of the research, data types, research designs, sample group and finally themes. According to the research findings; it is seen that most of the theses related to postgraduate studies on teachers' performance evaluation were conducted in 2019 and quantitative research methods were preferred as the research type. At the same time, when the theses were analysed according to the research themes, the theme of "working hours, official letters, information notes, meeting attendance, criteria such as reports, articles, theses, and publications" came to the fore in the studies.
