Investigation of Leadership Characteristics of Primary School Administrators According to Some Variables
The aim of this study is to examine the leadership characteristics of school administrators working in primary education according to some variables. The population of the study consists of 1879 administrators working in the central districts of Diyarbakır in the 2022-2023 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 180 administrators determined by random sampling from the population. The "Multifactor Leadership Scale" developed by Bass and Avolio (1997) and adapted into Turkish by Cemaloğlu (2007) consists of three dimensions and a total of 45 items: 20 items determining "Transformational Leadership", 16 items determining "Interactionist Leadership" and 9 items determining "Results of Leadership Behaviours". In the analysis of the research data; arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage values were calculated. In addition, t-test and ANOVA test were used in the research. As a result of the analyses, it was seen that the level of having leadership characteristics of the administrators did not differ significantly according to the gender, professional seniority and educational status of the administrators.
