Investigation of the Relationship between Cultural Leadership Behaviours of School Principals and Job Satisfaction
The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between cultural leadership behaviours of school principals working in educational institutions and job satisfaction. The population of the study consists of 728 administrators working in the central districts of Diyarbakır province in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 150 administrators determined by random sampling from the population. In this study, the "Job Satisfaction Scale" developed by Weiss et al. in 1967, translated into Turkish by Baycan in 1985 and validity and reliability studies were conducted, and the "Cultural Leadership Scale" developed by Yıldırım (2001) by examining domestic and foreign sources were used. In the analysis of the research data; arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage values, t-test and ANOVA were calculated. In addition, correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between cultural leadership perception levels and job satisfaction perception levels. As a result of the analyses, it was seen that cultural leadership behaviours and job satisfaction attitudes of school principals differed significantly according to gender, age and tenure variables. At the same time, it was determined that there was a strong positive relationship (0,617) between principals' cultural leadership behaviours and job satisfaction at 0,03 level.
