Investigation of Facilitative Leadership Behaviours of School Principals According to Some Variables of Teachers
The type of leadership exhibited by school administrators is important in the formation of school culture. One of these leadership types is facilitative leadership. According to facilitative leaders, power is not the power that tries to regulate the learning and working environment in the school through pressure, on the contrary, it is the power that is shared through cooperation, assistance and exchange of ideas. In this context, the aim of this study is to examine the facilitative leadership behaviours of school principals according to some variables. The population of the study consists of 12341 teachers working in the central districts of Diyarbakır in the 2023-2024 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 220 teachers selected from the population by random sampling. The "Facilitative Leadership Scale" developed by Töremen (2004) was used to collect data. The scale consists of 28 questions and 4 dimensions. In the analysis of the research data; t-test and ANOVA test were used. As a result of the analyses; it was seen that the facilitative leadership behaviours of school principals did not show significant differences according to their gender, professional seniority and education levels.
